Summary:
The Systems Manager is responsible for managing the team of technical resources in charge of Aircell’s ERP and Document Management Systems. This individual is also the technical liaison between Aircell Finance and Manufacturing. The System Manager is responsible for ensuring successful ERP functionality of Aircell’s Airborne Broadband System and business aviation business unit. The Systems Manager’s team holds responsibility for daily/monthly financial transactions, daily manufacturing processes, and inventory control support. The Systems Manager provides critical ERP system expertise, strategy and process leadership to the end users in collaboration with internal Aircell business units; IT-architecture, and governance organizations to ensure optimal system solution delivery resulting in successful ERP systems integration maximizing value to Aircell. The Systems Manager manages the day to day operations of Sharepoint and other document management systems that may be implemented in the future.
Responsibilities:
• Management of 2-4 resources.
• Collaborate with Business Units, IT-Business Managers, IT-Architecture, and IT-Governance teams to define and refine ERP system requirements and processes for optimal ERP system functionality.
• Articulate in various formats: requirements, system impacts, and process translation between ERP Systems and Business Units to ensure desired solution delivery is attained with the highest level of satisfaction.
• On-going system and process evaluations resulting in recommendations and justifications to business problems, opportunities, gaps and overlaps.
• Day to day project management adherence to release timeline schedules actively managing and escalating issues with ERP system(s) solution providers, their milestones and/or service levels.
• Risk identification and mitigation on a daily basis ensuring appropriate communication and resolution delivery in a timely manner.
• Service Level Agreement (SLA) maintenance and monitoring between ERP systems and end users; provide supporting efforts to ensure optimal results and be relentless in the pursuit of corrective actions.
• Report on all system solution deliverables internally and via IT-Governance processes.
• Support testing requirements, business scenarios and test conditions for systems financial testing.
• Provide ERP system(s) financial expertise and leadership across business organizations, build awareness of functionality in relation to Business Unit and IT strategy; architecture/standards, development processes and artifacts.
• Participate and manage to Aircell’s change control processes.
• Establish and report on metrics and KPIs that reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of the ERP System (s) financial transactional operations.
• Lead and execute a document management strategy and help define tools used.
Required Skills:
• 5-7 years of experience managing ERP Systems.
• 5-7 years of experience with ERP/CRM systems/requirements analysis, testing, and training.
• 3-5 years of experience managing and developing Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
• In-depth practical business knowledge of ERP financial conceptual design, requirements generation, impact analysis, and change control.
• Experience with establishing and monitoring financial SLA’s with ERP systems.
• 1-3 years experience with Sharepoint or similar document management system.
• Experience managing a team of at least 2 individuals.
• Demonstrate collaborative capabilities and a service-level oriented, customer-focused mindset.
• Excellent communication skills required; demonstrable ability to communicate in both a technical and non-technical environment. • Ability to operate confidently and effectively in both business and IT organizations.
• Experience and/or interest in the Airline and/or Telecommunications industries is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other equivalent or related field.
• Limited travel may be required both in the US and the UK. • Advanced degree and/or certifications preferred.
