Summary:

Individual will be responsible for all aspects of the revenue stream, developing and documenting internal control processes and procedures, assisting with various aspects of the Billing and A/R Systems, Revenue Share and Revenue Recognition.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the month end closing process , including reconciling data points along the revenue stream and revenue accruals

• Review of automated postings from the Billing System to the A/R Sub-ledger

• Periodic review of Billing and Refund activity to ensure segregation of duties

• Perform audits at key points along the revenue stream

• Monthly Review of Purchases Transactions and Credit Card Clearing activity

• Monthly Review of Refund Transactions and Credit Card Clearing activity

• Monthly Review of Invoice to Accounts Receivable Postings

• Monthly Review of Cash Application process to ensure the proper recording of Cash

• Monthly Review of Deferred Revenue Balances

• Work with Billing and IT departments to insure proper handling of revenue source data

• Participate in the planning and implementation of Accounting, Billing and other Business Systems

• Assist in the preparation of Monthly Revenue Calculation

• Review of Airline agreements and aid in the development of Revenue Share Algorithms

• Work with the Tax Manager to Ensure that Tax algorithms are properly documented in the Business Requirements

• Develop and document internal control criteria and accounting processes based on industry best practices

• Assist in the review of new products and gather/document business requirements to ensure proper revenue recognition and support of revenue share across all airlines

• Aid in the Development and implementation of policies and procedures, in particular with respect to revenue recognition, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and specific industry standards

• Document Revenue Stream Business Processes and Interface with IT in order to mitigate risks to the Revenue Stream through system controls and automation

Required Skills:

Experience:

• Five plus years of Accounting Experience

• Experience in the Telecommunications or Wireless Technology Industry

• Experience with Billing Systems and Billing Processes

• Experience with Accounting Systems, preferably JD Edwards/Oracle World

• Experience assessing risk and developing mitigating controls

• Experience with Mediation and Rating of Telecommunications Records (Voice and Data)

• Experience with Credit Card Clearing and Merchant Accounts Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

• Proficient in MS Office (Access, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Visio and Word)

• Proficient in the use of Databases, SQL and Business Objects or other Reporting Tool

• Proficient in Algorithm Development and Process Engineering/Re-Engineering

• Strong Operational Background (IT and Business Operations)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent organization skills

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
