Summary:
The Manager, Mobile Marketing Operations is responsible for near-term and long-term development of the mobile platforms technical strategy and plans; including all consumer facing marketing campaigns directed to drive maximum revenue through all Mobile devices. The Mobile Manager will operate in a highly cross functional environment working closely with IT, Product Management, Operations, Network operations in the development of the technical solutions; along with Marketing, Airline Sales, Corporate Sales, Care, Pricing, promotions and Partnerships to drive revenue
Responsibilities:
• Champion the mobile vision, communicate and gain buy-in across the organization for mobile strategies and programs and align resources to develop and execute short-term and long-term strategies for new and existing mobile capabilities that align to the vision
• Develop 1-3 year technical strategy and marketing plans to drive mobile usage from 10% of all sessions to 20% of all Gogo sessions by YE2011.
• Drive more effective strategic planning, investment decisions, and budgeting processes in order to drive internal and external resources towards exceeding 3 year mobile objectives
• Within and outside the Marketing Department, develop and implement a thorough, end-to-end discipline that leverages processes, technology and metrics to run the mobile product as a profit center - Hold direct accountability for the success of our mobile business plans/objectives
• Engage with influencers within the mobile industry to define potential solutions within and across organizations
• In collaboration with the project management office, work cross-functionally in the development of processes and procedures in support of exceeding all CSAT metrics, development milestones and timelines, marketing campaign metrics – and ultimately, revenue objectives. Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact our customer experience while increasing efficiency.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to develop go- to- market strategies targeting critical segments to deliver accelerated revenue growth and achieve annual conversion and penetration rates on mobile devices
• Collaborate with members of Marketing, Product, Technology and Sales teams to manage and align our mobile strategy and roadmap with goals and objectives manage overall portfolio of products while leading strategic marketing activities around pricing, promotions, advertising and channel marketing
• Partner/Perform market research, user testing and analytics to identify and prioritize new opportunities and improve the current mobile performance - Challenge internal and external teams to innovate and find fresh ways to reach and drive increased revenue on mobile devices
• In partnership with our User Experience and Technology teams, spearhead cross-functional efforts to effectively execute and deliver the product roadmap
• Partner with BusDev to open up new channels (e.g., Wireless Carriers, etc.) to drive increased performance and strategic objectives
• Develop and leverage reporting tools/data analytics to monitor, analyze and be accountable for KPI’s (Mobile users, conversion, repeat rate, ARPS, etc.) to optimize performance of mobile devices
• Partner with the Product team to champion the institutionalization of a product management methodology for bringing engaging and profitable products/solutions to market in an effective and efficient manner
Required Skills:
• 7-10 years in direct to consumer marketing experience, with specific experience in mobile and web based/electronic marketing, including e-commerce
• Previous experience working in one of the following industry segments is a plus: wireless services, telecommunications, entertainment or financial services
• Ability to effectively understand data, analyze results, draw insights and conclusions, and recommend appropriate actions
• Should have the following: work experience in or related to social media, developing and launching Internet-enabled products & solutions, working with Internet technologies, WIFI/SMS technologies, mobile marketing and mobile application.
• Strategic Thinker grounded in quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Ability to lead projects with multiple stakeholders
• Analytical with an eye for detail
• Good level of technical expertise (Such as email and web page design, Systems experience)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English - additional languages a plus
• Ability to gather, develop, and analyze marketing/business content and develop efficient marketing processes to support campaign deployment
• Must be able to effectively prioritize competing tasks
• Understands marketing processes and workflow management design and building
• Provides a marketing/business background in the following areas: Multi-Channel Mobile Marketing, Closed-Loop Marketing Processes, Data Mining and Analytic Concepts/Technologies and Marketing
Strategy
• Ability to work as a liaison between Marketing and IT to solve complex marketing problems
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
