Summary:
Responsible for aircraft cabin systems integration and installation design.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the design and development of aircraft cabin systems installation on commercial aircraft.
• Coordinate activities with mechanical and electrical engineering groups to generate installation design of equipment on the aircraft.
• Coordinate activities with FAA certification group and the DERs to ensure all FAA related activities are done to ensure timely certification of the design.
• Coordinate integration and installation design activities with customers and suppliers.
• Apply knowledge of engineering and scientific principles to develop, design and validate solutions for the system.
• Assist with trouble shooting system anomalies and propose solutions
• Design cabin systems to satisfy customer, FAA and internal requirements.
Required Skills:
• 7+ years experience in aviation industry.
• Familiar with relevant FAA regulations
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with customers, vendors, partners and other Internal departments.
• Ability to use AutoCAD Lt 2007 a plus.
• Experience with IFE systems a plus.
Required Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
